Top 10 Reasons to Be a Catechist

“Why should I?” Here are our “Top 10 Reasons.” Will you join us?

• Jesus commands us to spread the Good News of salvation.
• Your faith story can lead others to a deepening of their faith.
• You work with a committed group of Catechists who are on fire in the faith.
• You are an example to your children and members of the community.
• It is an opportunity to grow in your Catholic faith.
• You are taking an active role in the saving of souls.
• You realize you are never alone on the journey of faith.
• You recognize how precious our Catholic faith is to our everyday living.
• You help to change the "culture of death" to a "culture of love and life."
• You tell Jesus how much you love Him in a very real way through sharing your faith with others as a Catechist.

We are in need of dedicated people to work with elementary and middle-school children, and training is provided! There are openings for leaders, aides, singers and musicians.

You have answered God’s call to be a witness of His word to His children. Children hold a special place in Jesus’ ministry; it is their innocence and acceptance that we are called to model. Being a Catechist is also an opportunity to learn and deepen your own faith. It is a journey we walk together.
